Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at pdotliteracy@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Pdot Literacy is a literacy solutions company. We provide evidence-based support for students, families, and schools. We offer personalized tutoring and professional development to help every professional and child build strong literacy skills and confidence.

Dyslexia is a common learning difference that affects reading, spelling, and writing. It is not related to intelligence, and with the right support, students with dyslexia can become confident, skilled readers.

While we cannot provide a medical or clinical diagnosis, our team is trained to recognize characteristics of dyslexia. Our assessments, intervention services, and reports are designed to support reading growth, but they cannot be used to determine eligibility for special education services.

No. Our tutoring supports any student who needs help developing reading and writing skills. While we are trained to work with children showing signs of dyslexia, we also help students who are reading below grade level, struggling with fluency, or simply want to strengthen their foundational literacy skills.

The "System Leaders" package improves literacy at the district and school levels by training administrators and teachers in evidence-based practices. The "Parents & Families" package supports literacy at home by working directly with children and caregivers.

We typically work with teachers and parents of students between Kindergarten and 6th Grade.
